Fire Safety Training
Here at Firepoint Services, we provide comprehensive and up-to-date fire safety training courses that can be delivered at your workplace, and at a time that suits you. These courses can also be held at our very own training facility, if that’s more convenient for you, and are available for groups of up to 14 people.
The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (2005) and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 put great emphasis on ensuring that employers carry out their duty of care regarding fire safety training. As part of this, it’s important that all employees are aware of your fire procedures and the action to be taken in the event of a fire. This includes how to operate fire safety equipment safely where this is required.
To help you uphold these requirements, we deliver fire safety awareness training to companies across the UK, including our local areas of Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Scottish Borders.
Fire Safety Awareness Training
All courses are delivered by our Senior Fire Training Officers, who have a wealth of knowledge and personal experience in the field.
A typical fire safety awareness training course covers:
- Action on discovering a fire
- Action taken on hearing the alarm
- Escape routes and assembly points
- The different classes/types of fire
- The identification and use of different types of fire extinguishers on live fires
- Hands-on operation of fire extinguishers
- Q&A session
- Short training film
